Gregg A. Nathanson, a shareholder of the firm, recently participated in a panel discussion for the North Oakland County Board of Realtors (NOCBOR). The 2-hour continuing education panel discussion focused on due diligence and the purchase of commercial real estate.
Mr. Nathanson also recently had an article published with the Commercial Board of Realtors (CBOR) entitled “Good Faith is Not Just a Good Idea. It’s the Law.” In this article, Mr. Nathanson discusses a recent Michigan Court of Appeals decision finding an implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing in a land contract dispute. The land contract seller breached the covenant of good faith by refusing to provide the buyer with a payoff letter necessary for the buyer to pay off the outstanding land contract balance.
Mr. Nathanson focuses his practice in the areas of real estate, business and corporate, environmental, finance and construction law. If you would like to discuss a commercial real estate transaction, or any other real estate matter, please email Mr. Nathanson or call him at 248-489-8600.
