Couzens Lansky Employees Celebrate World Friendship Day

friendshipdayThe yellow rose is the symbol of friendship, so employees of Couzens Lansky celebrated World Friendship Day by wearing yellow.  The first World Friendship Day was proposed for July 30, 1958 by the World Friendship Crusade, an international civil organization that campaigns to foster a culture of peace through friendship and fellowship among all human beings.  Although it may seem to be one of the more fun holidays in comparison to other more serious awareness days, the message behind this day is a good one.  In a world with conflict and division and poverty and violence that can undermine peace and social harmony, we can foster strong ties of trust and camaraderie to generate a passion for a better world where we’re all united for the greater good.
